Dog missing both eyes up finds a forever home

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - UPDATE: Ashton, a rescue dog who is missing both eyes has found a forever home!

Ashton was found with severely injured eyes; both of them had popped out of their sockets, leaving the dog blind.

He was discovered near 35th Avenue and Encanto, and workers with the Humane Society rushed him to their facility known as Second Chance Hospital.

Veterinarians said they had to remove both eyes to keep Ashton healthy. But they say he's a lively dog who loves to learn new tricks and get belly rubs.
