DPS organization in need of donations for fallen trooper's funeral

ARIZONA (KSAZ) - After any Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper gets killed in the line of duty, the trooper's family and their next steps become top priority.

"We have planned a fundraiser that will help with the funeral," said Tim Kvochick, vice president of the Arizona Trooper's Association. "[Tyler Edenhofer's mother] will be well taken care of during this time period and after that."

Kvochick's organization is composed of former and current DPS members and can help take care of families of fallen troopers.

Edenhofer was a member, so now they are helping out his mother.

"We are going to give the funds to Tyler's mother," said Kvochick.

However, the organization is in need of donations. They want to raise as much money for Edenhofer's family as possible.

All donations can be made online at aztroopers.org/.

Edenhofer was killed Wednesday night during a struggle with a suspect off the I-10 Wednesday night.
