Dumpster fire spreads to Alhambra High School building

Phoenix fire crews battled a fire at Alhambra High School Monday afternoon.

According to a statement released by fire officials, the fire started in an exterior dumpster and spread into a building. The building suffered damage to the south side in the eaves and attic, but firefighters were able to limit the interior damage. Summer school classes were reportedly in session, but staff members were able to evacuate all students without incident.

Fire officials say no firefighters or civilians were hurt.
