Excessive Heat Warning Tuesday

The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Phoenix and surrounding areas, as well as for Yuma, Blythe, Gila Bend and Casa Grande.

Never leave kids or pets unattended in cars. Drink more water than usual. And if you are spending time outdoors, wear light colored clothing and a wide brimmed had to keep your body cooler. Try to stay cool in shaded or air conditioned areas.

Early symptoms of heat exposure include headache, thirst and muscle cramps. Left untreated, it can lead to heat stroke.
