Family offers $11,000 for info on who killed New River man

A north valley family is rallying together, hoping to find a killer.

Ramon Fernandez was stabbed to death outside of a New River restaurant.

"A wonderful beautiful outing turned into a family nightmare," said Dawn Fernandez.

Dawn has worked tirelessly to find the person who killed her husband, Ramon Fernandez. Now there is a new reward for information, $11,000.

"Through the community coming together doing the fundraisers, and the car washes, and the GoFundMe accounts, we got the funds together that I needed," said Dawn.

This after a night with family at a saloon in New River on July 25 went horrible wrong. She went home early with her grandchildren that night, but later got a call that her husband had been stabbed outside the restaurant.

"Apparently there was a bar fight that broke out, and my husband was stabbed in the chaos," she said.

She got a call from an MCSO deputy who said he was coming to her. Her youngest son drove to the site, and it wasn't what she expected.

Now she wants justice, her husband Ramon was a man with a love for fitness and family.

Ramon was a fitness coach and sports coach, family say he was very involved in his community.
