FBI: Suspects in Payson casino robbery arrested

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- FBI officials announced on Tuesday the arrest of two people, in connection with a July casino robbery in Payson.

According to a statement, 31-year-old Ryan Pearson and 32-year-old Armando Ochoa were arrested in Payson without incident on Monday. Both were employees of the Mazatzal Casino, the casino they are accused of robbing.

FBI officials said on July 17, two suspects who were dressed in black and who wore hoods and mask entered the casino. The suspects brandished a long gun and pistols, fired multiple rounds inside the casino, and eventually fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt.

According to the FBi, Pearson and Ochoa are charged with robbery and weapons-related charges.
