Fire breaks out at Tempe apartment complex

TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A man received a scary wake-up call as a fire broke out at his apartment in Tempe.

The Tempe Fire Department says firefighters woke up the man as a fire burned on his apartment balcony near Broadway and Rural Roads.

The man escaped his apartment and was not injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
