First-alarm fire displaces four in Scottsdale

A first-alarm house fire broke out in Scottsdale early Sunday morning, knocking out power to a dozen customers in the area.

Flames first broke out in a shed and spread to a home near 68th Street and Thomas. The fire also spread to two power poles and brought down power lines. There was ammunition being stored in the home as well.

More than 50 first responders from Scottsdale, Tempe and Phoenix Fire Departments battled the blaze and got it under control.

The four people living in the home will need to find a new place to stay. Fortunately no injuries were reported.

SRP is working to restore power to about a dozen customers on Sunday.
