Friends spark Pray4Dre campaign after teen is critically injured at indoor trampoline park

The campaign "Pray for Dre" is gaining steam in Warren after a tragic accident critically injures a teen at an indoor trampoline park this weekend.

Fitzgerald High School student Drevon Card was at Total Sports Boys and Girls Club in Warren when he suffered a potentially deadly neck injury. We've learned he is improving but he's not out of the woods yet.

His friends are reeling. They're holding on to hope for the 14-year-old as he recovers from the awful injury. The last they heard from him was a Facebook post that he was going to Flip City at Ten for an all nighter.

What Dre called Flip City is Total Sports. That's where Card jumped off of a trampoline and into a foam pit. A manager at Total Sports said jumpers are supposed to land on their feet or back but Card landed on his stomach.

He broke his neck on the jump and it came just minutes after the manager went over the rules. It's unclear if or how many staffers were present when it happened. There were 75 kids in the park when it happened and the manager said they all knew something immediately.

Drevon is on the dive and swim team at Fitzgerald High School in Warren. News of the accident spread quickly and now roughly 500 people are pulling for Drevon on the Pray for Dre Facebook page.

Drevon was taken to Children's Hospital in critical condition but is said to be improving day by day. Family and friends are hoping and praying he makes a full recovery.
