Impairment may be factor in deadly crash with semi
PHOENIX - A passenger was killed after a car collided with a semi truck near 75th Avenue and Lower Buckeye early on Saturday.
Police say the passenger in the vehicle was killed after it collided with a semi at about 2am. The driver of the vehicle was heading south on 75th Avenue when the crash occurred. Investigators say impairment is suspected as a factor in the crash. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
The semi driver is expected to be okay and remained on the scene. 75th Avenue was closed while police investigated the deadly collision.
