Man arrested in 2016 for alleged DUI is arrested for alleged DUI once again
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A man arrested in connection with a deadly DUI crash in 2016 has been arrested once again, accused of driving drunk.
32-year-old Stanley Chu's trial for last year's crash was scheduled to take place on February 13. According to reports, Chu, who made his initial court appearance in court on Tuesday for the latest incident, was brought to jail on Monday night by bounty hunters, after Chu's bond was revoked.
In January 2016, Chu was charged with manslaughter, in connection with the killing of 20-year-old Chezray Young, after police accuse Chu of slamming into the back of Young's car, while driving drunk.
The incident reportedly happened at University Drive, near Hardy. According to police, Chu was driving at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour, in a 40 miles per hour zone.
Chu is due back in court on December 5.
