Man found dead in central Phoenix house fire

PHOENIX - A man is dead after a house fire broke out early Sunday morning near Central and Northern.

Captain Larry Subervi with Phoenix Fire Department says the flames broke out in a rear guest house at about 3:30am on Sunday. He says the flames spread to the main house.

After fire crews were able to safely search the home, they found a deceased man in his late 70's. No firefighters were injured. The fire is now under investigation.
