Man killed, woman injured in DUI crash
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A man was killed and a woman was seriously hurt in a car accident that police suspect was caused by a drunk drunk driver.
A spokesperson for Phoenix Police says a vehicle was heading north on 75th Avenue when the driver failed to stop for a stop sign. A truck heading east on Lower Buckeye Road collided with the car at 75th avenue.
The truck driver, a 30-year-old man, was thrown from the vehicle and passed away from his injuries. A passenger in the truck, a 31-year-old woman, was not hurt.
The driver of the car, a 23-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but he is expected to survive.
Police are investigating the crash, but they say alcohol is likely a factor in the deadly collision.
