Martha McSally holds roundtable event for small businesses in Phoenix

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- It's one of the most talked about senate races this year. Both candidates vying for the seat Jeff Flake is leaving.

Earlier this week, Fox 10's Steve Krafft caught up with Kyrsten Sinema, and on Friday, Fox 10's Stefania Okolie went to Martha McSally's roundtable event in Phoenix.

Martha McSally met with employees of local factory "Everyone Loves Buttons."

The family owned and operated button factory expressed their economic concerns during part of the roundtable and McSally offered whatever answers she could.

"Providing more opportunities for the employees, the challenges they have on affordable health care and because of Obamacare, so it's really important to constantly be hearing from voters and future constituents to hear what their challenges are," McSally said.

Health care has been an issue for owners of Everyone Loves Buttons. The couple says they lost insurance for their employees while under Obamacare.

"We were happy that she addressed that and that there are things in the world, although they're not necessarily official," said the owner.

McSally notied that visits like this help to ensure every vote is snagged before Election Day.

And perhaps the biggest visit she looks forward to is one from the president.

"He'll be coming and I look forward to that. I think it's really important to have him here, especially for some Republicans who are maybe happy and don't think they need to get out and vote to be reminded of the stakes of this election," McSally said.

With this being one of the most closely watched races, many are wondering when they are going to hit the stage for their first debate. McSally has confirmed and agreed to do a debate on CNN on October 15.
