Motorcycle crash snarls traffic in Phoenix
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Three people were rushed to an area hospital after three motorcycles crashed on the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 at the mini-stack.
The traffic backup stretched from the mini-stack all the way back to 24th Street.
A 44-year-old male, 39-year-old female, and 26-year-old male are currently in serious condition. A fourth patient, a 23-year-old male, was evaluated at the scene and wasn't transported to a hospital.
Per the Phoenix Fire Department, no cars were involved in the collision, only three motorcycles.
The westbound lanes of I-10 at the mini-stack will remain closed during the investigation. There is no estimated time to re-open the lanes, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. All traffic will be diverted to State Route 51 and Loop 202.
