National Weather Service: up to 2 inches of snow expected in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP/FOX 10) -- Forecasters with the National Weather Service in Tucson say parts of the Southern Arizona city may get up to two inches of snow overnight.

According to forecasts, snow is expected in the city on Tuesday night and into Wednesday.

Other parts of Southern Arizona should brace for even more snow. In Cochise County, forecasters expect anywhere between three to six inches of snow.

Up in the Santa Catalina Mountains, the Summerhaven area has already seen up to 11 inches of snow, resulting in the closure of Mount Lemmon.

Warmer weather, however, could be in store for Tucson. According to weather forecasts by the FOX affiliate in Tucson, the city could see temperatures in the mid to upper 60s by Saturday.
