Ohio police corral escaped chickens

An Ohio police officer corralled a group of chickens, helping them across the road back into their enclosure. 

The Brief

    • Dayton Police Department responded to a call of several chickens that had escaped their enclosure and ended up in the street. 
    • One officer, recorded on body cam, helped shoo the chickens from one side of the street to the other, guiding them to a resident's backyard. 
    • All chickens appear to have been removed from the road and are safe and accounted for. 

The question of "why did the chicken cross the road," now has a new answer thanks to an Ohio police officer. 

Last week, the Dayton Police Department responded to a call of several chickens that had escaped their enclosure and ended up in the street. 

Officers responded to assist their return to their proper location.
