One person arrested, others on the run after high-risk traffic stop

MESA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - One person was arrested and others are still on the run after a high-risk traffic stop in Mesa.

Mesa police say they made the traffic stop and were trying to arrest a suspect on an outstanding warrant near Loop 202 and Dobson Road. When police pulled over the vehicle, all of the passengers in the car ran away.

The driver remained in the vehicle and clipped the undercover police officer's car, but was quickly taken into custody immediately.

The suspects who ran from the scene are still on the loose.
