One woman dead in fatal Phoenix crash

PHOENIX - Police have reopened 22nd Street and Thomas in Phoenix after closing the intersection to investigate a deadly crash that killed one woman on Wednesday.

The woman was crossing Thomas Road mid-block when she was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound, officials say.

Thomas Road was closed off from 22nd to 24th Streets while police investigated.

The driver stayed on scene. Police do not think impairment was a factor.
