Pair captured on camera robbing Peoria store

An armed robbery at a Peoria smoke shop was caught on camera, and the employees quickly turned the tables on the robbers.

The robbery happened June 22, 2016, around 5:30 p.m. at The Smoke Shop near 91st Avenue and Union Hills in Peoria.

Two unknown suspects entered the store and demanded cash. When the thieves were collecting the money, another employee retrieved a handgun and an exchange of gunfire happened. Both suspects then fled on foot with the workers running behind.

Suspect one: White male, 20-25 years of age, 5'8"-5'9", 170-180 lbs, and medium build, blonde or red hair. Possibly has a tattoo on his right bicep. He was wearing black Vans brand shoes, gray jeans, black t-shirt, Detroit Tigers hat, and sunglasses. He had his face covered by a purple bandanna and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

Suspect two: White male, 30-35 years of age, 6'0"-6'2", 175-185 lbs, thin build, and brown hair. He was wearing gray boat shoes, olive-grey cargo type shorts, black button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He had his face covered by a black bandanna and was also armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
