Parents of missing 19-year-old mother arrested

MESA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - The parents of a missing 19-year-old mother have been arrested by police on Wednesday.

In a brief statement released by Sgt. Alan Pfohl with Phoenix police, Roland and Cassandra Jones were both detained by Phoenix police officers, for Mesa Police. Roland and Cassandra were subsequently arrested by Mesa Police, after questioning.

Madeline Jones and her child, one-year-old William, were reported missing on June 16, reportedly by Roland. There is still no sign of the pair.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Mesa Police detectives are submitting criminal charges against William's grandparents to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office for review.
