Paulding County teen drowns in Mass. river

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. - A Paulding County community and family is reeling from the death of an 18-year-old East Paulding High graduate, who drowned in a river in Cambridge, Massachusetts as he attended Harvard's summer school.

Massachusetts State Police said the man, identified by Harvard University as Tyler Greene, was seen jumping into the Charles River at the Weeks Bridge, but surfaced flailing then went underwater.

Harvard University student tradition encourages fellow students to jump into the river off the footbridge.
