PD: 1 dead, suspect in custody after shooting

PHOENIX (AP) - Police say one man is dead and another is in custody after a shooting in northwest Phoenix.

The two men are believed to be related but Phoenix police are unsure about the nature of the relationship.

Police say the shooting occurred about 11 a.m. Monday in a residential area near West Dunlap Avenue and Interstate 17.

Police say the 33-year-old gunman told officers that he got into an argument with the other man outside his home and that triggered the shooting.

They say the victim was a 53-year-old who was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

The names of the two men haven't been released yet.
