Pedestrian seriously injured in north Phoenix crash

Maricopa County Sheriff's are investigating an accident in north Phoenix that left a pedestrian seriously hurt.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at about 4am. MCSO deputies shut down Cave Creek Road between Carefree Highway and Rancho Manana Boulevard to investigate. Deputies say the pedestrian suffered serious injuries.

The road opened back up at about 9am. No additional details are available at this time.
