Peoria Police looking for man who has been missing since May 25
PEORIA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Peoria Police officials say they are looking for a man who has been missing since May 25.
In a statement released Wednesday, police say 67-year-old Chester Smith was last seen in the area of 89th Avenue and Peoria Avenue, at around noon on May 25, when he left home and did not return. While it is not uncommon for Smith to go with different family members for several days, it was discovered on Wednesday that Smith was not with a family member.
According to Smith's family, the man has memory issues, and is on medication. The family, according to police, is extremely concerned for his wellbeing. It is unclear where Smith has gone, and officers have been unable to locate him.
Smith is described as a Caucasian male, 5'10" tall, weighing 220lbs, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan baseball cap, dark shirt, blue jeans with dark suspenders, and tan Ozark hiking boots.
Smith, police say, does not have any other clothing with him, and does not have a cell phone with him. Anyone with information should contact the Peoria Police Department.
