Phoenix police: Man arrested after wreck kills girlfriend
PHOENIX (AP) - A 25-year-old Phoenix man is accused of manslaughter and other crimes in connection with an accident in which his girlfriend was killed.
Phoenix police arrested Abraham Delgadillo Castro after a Saturday collision in which Jeanette Ruiz was killed when a small SUV driven by Castro twice collided with a utility truck at an intersection.
A police statement included in court papers said Castro had a blood-alcohol level over twice the legal limit for drivers.
Castro was booked into jail on suspicion of manslaughter, aggravated assault and endangerment.
He didn't have an attorney when he appeared in court, and he remained in jail Monday.
