Phoenix Police: Suspect arrested in deadly hit-and-run crash
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A suspect is under arrest after a deadly hit-and-run crash.
At 12:30 a.m., Phoenix Police responded to a fatal hit-and-run car vs. pedestrian collision at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Glendale Avenue.
Investigators determined a silver or gray 2004 to 2009 Toyota 4Runner SUV was traveling northbound on 19th Avenue when it struck a 49-year-old man who was crossing the street against the light and within a marked crosswalk.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect vehicle fled and was last seen traveling northbound on 19th Avenue from Dunlap Avenue at a high rate of speed.
On Saturday, Phoenix Police announced an arrest had been made in the deadly crash.
