Police arrest woman in connection with school bus hit-and-run

Police have arrested a woman in connection with the hit-and-run of a school bus on Sept. 22.

Tempe police say Renee Scozzari has been arrested and charged with failing to stop after an accident involving damage to a vehicle and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.

Police say Scozzari was arrested due to information from a witness at the scene and an anonymous tip. She turned herself in after police made several attempts to contact her.

On Sept. 22, a Tempe School District bus was hit after a vehicle failed to yield at a red light. Twenty-nine students were on the bus at the time of the collision, however, none were seriously injured.
