Police ask for help in solving El Mirage murder
EL MIRAGE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Who killed Patricia Cota?The young mother of two little girls was murdered in El Mirage two years ago, her family is still awaiting justice.
El Mirage Police believe at least two people may have been involved in moving her body to the spot where she was found before 8 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014.
The 24-year-old woman was found in an alley of her El Mirage neighborhood.
"It has been very, very difficult going through this, I am asking anyone in El Mirage or Phoenix, if you have any information, please call the El Mirage Police Department or Silent Witness, give them a call," said George Cota.
George Cota is Patricia's father.
"Patricia was a love bug, she would do anything for anybody, and she was a great person, people out there do not know her as good as I do, and she was just a lovable person," he said.
Patricia Cota had two little girls who are now 6 and 3-years-old.
"The girls Serenity and Sienna cry for their momma, even Serenity she knows exactly what took place. She asks me every day have you heard anything from the detectives, that is a 6-year-old girl," said George.
"I want justice for my mom because me and Sienna love her very much, and both of us miss her, and we want justice a lot," said Serenity Cota.
"My message to anybody that has had their hands on the homicide, you need to turn yourself in," said George.
If you have any information that might help police you're asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. There is a reward of up to $5,000 in the case.
