Police investigate threats to valley schools
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police across the valley are investigating several threats made to valley schools Tuesday afternoon.
Chandler Police say they are working to clear San Tan Jr High and Hancock Elementary after a threat was called in.
Franklin Elementary School in Mesa reportedly received a bomb threat, Mesa Police conducted a precautionary evacuation and checked the school. Students are now being released to their parents.
Arrowhead Elementary School in Glendale also received a threat. Glendale Police are investigating.
And Valley Vista High School in Surprise also received a threat that authorities are checking into.
Dozens of schools in six states also had threats similar to those in the valley.
