Police: Man dies after being found shot inside car in Avondale

AVONDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police say a man has died after he was found shot inside a car in the west Valley.

Avondale police say the shooting happened near 107th Avenue and Indian School Road when neighbors called police at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night to report gunshots.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the man slumped inside a black sedan. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Police say the shooting happened down the street and after gunshots rang out, several cars took off from the scene.

Investigators say they've identified the victim, but aren't releasing his name at this time.

No suspect description has been released.
