Police search for suspect who fired at officer

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Phoenix police want to find a suspect who's accused of firing a shot at an officer during a traffic stop early Saturday morning.

Police say an officer was pulling over a white Chrysler 300 just after midnight on the I-17 frontage road near Dunlap.

Someone inside the vehicle fired off a round at the officer. The officer was not hurt.

The driver took off, and the Chrysler was found crashed along at frontage road wall near I-17 and Northern.

Police say the vehicle was stolen and they are now searching for the suspect involved in this incident.
