Police: Suspect arrested after shooting involving security guard
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A suspect was arrested after an early-morning shooting involving a security guard on Thursday.
Phoenix police tell Fox 10 that officers responded to reports of shots fired at 4130 N. Black Canyon at 5:20 a.m. Police learned that after a security guard interrupted an altercation between multiple people, shots were fired and the suspect left the area in a vehicle.
The suspect was taken into custody by police a short time later near 23rd Avenue and Georgia. Police also say the suspect suffered a gunshot wound and has non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect has been charged with aggravated assault and is still being treated.
The investigation is ongoing by police.
