Police: Woman kills husband in Gilbert

GILBERT, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police say a man was killed by his wife on Saturday night during a domestic argument.

Gilbert Police officers say 36-year-old Paul Smith was shot and killed by his wife, 27-year-old Jennifer Smith, while the two were parked in their car near Settlers Point and Lindsay Road.

After the shooting, Jennifer Smith left the scene but was later arrested following a traffic stop.

Two children, who were living in their home, were removed from the home by CPS on Monday after several calls about domestic violence at the home last week.

She has been booked into jail for second-degree murder.
