Power outage shuts down 3 Maricopa County court buildings

PHOENIX (AP) - A power outage has shut down three Maricopa County Superior Court buildings in downtown Phoenix.

The outage was initially reported early Friday morning.

That resulted in the closure of the East Court, Central Court and West Court buildings.

The South tower was unaffected and remained open.

Arizona Public Service crews responded and still are working to restore power to the three buildings.

After initially issuing a delay in the day's calendar, the court then canceled the planned proceedings in the affected buildings just before noon.

There are currently no specifics on the cause of the outage.

APS has yet to set a timetable for power restoration.
