SUV smashes into Mesa nursery
MESA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Two people were not injured after their sport utility vehicle plowed into a valley business in Mesa overnight.
The Mesa Police Department tells FOX 10 that the SUV crashed into the A & P Nursery near the Loop 101 and Baseline.
"The driver, a male in his late 40's, stated he had fallen asleep and that's why he clipped the median causing him to lose control of the vehicle. He had also stated he thought the vehicle might have had a mechanical problem, because he had just been working on the brakes the day before. He was cited for failure to control his speed to avoid a collision and for driving on a suspended driver's license," said Esteban Flores.
Authorities say impairment is not suspected in this case.
