Teen pleads not guilty to shooting Sunnyslope senior

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A 16-year-old teen accused of shooting a Sunnyslope High School senior pleaded not guilty in court on Thursday.

Witnesses say Luis Martinez drove up along side 18-year-old Tayler Maggi's car and shot him after Maggi drove away.

Police say Martinez fired several shots and hit Maggi in the head, which caused him to crash the car.

Martinez is being tried as an adult and Maggi has been hospitalized for nearly a month.
