Third MasterChef Junior contestant from the valley

It was heartbreak for 10-year-old Alexander, who was eliminated from the competition after the first night on MasterChef Junior.

Not to worry though, the valley is still well represented in the competition. This week we also introduced you to the two other Valley kids who made it on the show: 12-year-old Vivian and 13-year-old Cory.

The premier was filmed months ago, but FOX 10 had a chance to catch up with Alexander to find out what he's been up to since being sent home by Gordon Ramsey.

When Alexander got eliminated, he made a promise to Gordon Ramsey and the other judges that he would keep on cooking, and he's kept up on that promise, one dish at a time.

10-year-old Alexander Cochran says he is on a mission to encourage other kids to explore their passions.

"It inspires me to tell other kids what they can do because they may have a special skill, but might be afraid to use it," said Alexander Cochran.

His mom says in their home, kitchen time means family time.

"Cooking for us in our bonding together, so you know this experience I think raised the bar on his cooking," said Gabriela Cojanu.

And even though the little chef has come a long way from cooking his first omelette at age three, he says there's room for improvement.

So what does Alexander not like to cook? He says marshmallows, that happened to be the ingredient that sent him home.

Watch Master Chef Junior airing at 7 p.m. Fridays on FOX 10.
