Tina Frost, Las Vegas shooting victim from Anne Arundel County, goes home after miraculous recovery

An Anne Arundel County woman who was shot in the head during the Las Vegas massacre has continued her miraculous recovery as she walked out of rehab to return home for the holidays, according to her family.

Tina Frost's family posted on her GoFundMe page that she went home on Friday and would have several days off from her therapy.

"She can enjoy her family and friends and some normalcy and doing some more on her own," her family wrote. "We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season as we are planning to and have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for."

Frost will continue to receive therapy and her family reports she is getting stronger by the day.

The Arundel High School graduate was shot in the head while attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas with her boyfriend Austin in early October. She lost her right eye in the shooting and doctors said she could have bullet fragments in her brain for the rest of her life.

Authorities said 58 people were killed in the shooting, as well as the shooter, Stephen Paddock, and nearly 500 people were injured.

Frost was transferred to John Hopkins in Baltimore and underwent numerous surgeries and treatments. She was moved to a rehabilitation center in late November. Frost's family has asked for privacy as she acclimates to life outside of the hospital.

"The power of being strong, courageous, patient and determined by Tina along with Austin, all her family, friends and supporters like you will keep this uphill marathon of a miracle moving in the right direction," her family wrote. "Thank you for all your visits, calls, messages and prayers for our Sweet Tina."

Frost's GoFundMe page has raised more than $600,000 to help cover her medical expenses and recovery.
