Two Combs High School students accused of making threats

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Authorities with the Pinal County Sheriff's office claim two students with Combs High School in San Tan Valley talked about shooting up the school, and even set up a GoFundMe account to help raise money for it.

According to a statement released by Navideh Forghani with PCSO, the two were reported to to school officials after another student overheard the two talking about bringing a gun to school. A subsequent investigation then revealed the first student, a 15-year-old, threatened to file off the serial number of a gun and bring it to school.

The GoFundMe account, according to PCSO officials, has been removed from the site. In an e-mail sent to FOX 10 Phoenix, GoFundMe officials say the campaign raised no funds, and was removed from the platform. In addition, the campaign organizer has been banned from using the platform.

In addition, GoFundMe officials said it is against the site's terms of service to raise funds on the platform to buy ammunition or firearms.

Meanwhile, PCSO officials said the first student did not have any weapons, but the second student has immediate access to weapons at his home.

PCSO officials said both students, besides terrorism-related charges, will also be charged with interfering or disrupting an education institution.
