Waste Management Phoenix Open kicks off in the valley
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - The Waste Management Phoenix Open has officially begun and despite the cold temperatures and a little bit of drizzle, hundreds of fans are ready for some golf.
"I'm really cold right now," said McKenzie Giblin.
We caught up with locals, visitors from across the country and many people from Canada to see what they thought of the cooler temperatures.
"Well, it's a little chilly, but it's golf, you have to wear shorts and enjoy it," Mark Szuba said.
Crews say every year they have at least one day of the Phoenix Open that has bad weather. But to some people, wind, rain and temperatures in the 40's isn't bad.
"Are you going to be warm enough?" Fox 10 reporter Courtney Griffin asked.
"I think so, I think so. We've got two layers, but we will have to leave if it gets too cold." Helen and John Schultz said.
