TAMPA (FOX 13) - A couple of suspected burglars distracted an elderly woman so they could rob her Hillsborough County home.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office hopes the public can help get the two crooks off the streets.
The burglary happened back in July in East Lake Park.
A 92-year-old woman tells FOX 13 News the pair of men knocked on her door, saying they were interested in buying a vehicle, but then they barged into the house.
A security camera inside captured to duo rummaging around and stealing items while the elderly woman was distracted.
"I did not know that they had gotten into my bedroom over there and stole two jewelry boxes," the burglary victim said.
Along with the jewelry, the crooks swiped an entire tray of half-dollars.
The sheriff's office says the suspects left the home in a dark-colored Ford Explorer.
Anyone who recognized them or knows about the burglary is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
