Wilhoit man gets 14-year prison term in sexual assault case
PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - A Prescott-area man has been sentenced to prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting and kidnapping an underage girl.
Yavapai County authorities say 49-year-old Thomas Bolton of Wilhoit received a 14-year prison term for sexual assault and a 10-year sentence for kidnapping.
The sentences are to run concurrently and Bolton must serve the full 14 years for the sexual assault.
County sheriff's officials say Bolton was out on bond and facing an October 2014 trial for sexual assault and sexual conduct with the underage girl in 2013.
They say a specific condition of Bolton's release was that he wasn't to have contact with the victim.
Bolton was arrested last Sept. 8 for violating the court order and allegedly harassing the girl in front of a Wilhoit business the day before.
