Wife of Jill Biden’s ex-husband dies after domestic dispute call: reports

Police in Delaware are investigating the death of a 64-year-old woman who was found unresponsive during a domestic dispute call on Sunday.

What we know:

Officers from the New Castle Division of Police were called to the 1300 block of Idlewood Road on Dec. 28 for reports of a domestic dispute.

Investigators say when officers arrived they found 64-year-old Linda Stevenson unresponsive on the living room floor.

Officers provided life-saving measures, but Stevenson was pronounced dead.

Connection to the Bidens

What they're saying:

The investigation has gained national attention due to Stevenson's husband's past marriage to Jill Biden.

TMZ reports that Bill Stevenson, Linda's husband, was previously married to the former First Lady.

Bill also opened a popular college bar near the University of Delaware called The Stone Balloon.

"It was a very popular place to go and there were all kinds of bands would play there," said Ben Woodward from Newark, Del.

Neighbors shared photos of state forensic investigators at the home, and detectives were seen attempting to speak with neighbors.
