World Cup final to feature Super Bowl-style halftime show: Here's who's performing

The FIFA World Cup final will feature a first-ever halftime show at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.

Who’s performing at the World Cup halftime show? 

Big picture view:

The halftime show will feature Madonna, Shakira and BTS. Coldplay’s Chris Martin will curate it. 

FIFA, soccer’s governing body, said the performance will help support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which is raising $100 million to help children access education and soccer.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino said it would bring together "music and football on the biggest stage in sport for a very special cause."

"Every child should have the opportunity to dream, and together we can help make that possible," he shared in a post on Instagram.

Shakira has already teamed up with Afrobeats star Burna Boy for the official 2026 FIFA World Cup song called "Dai Dai."

The Super Bowl is known as much for its halftime show as it is for the big game, but big performances are not common in soccer. This year will see the Killers headline European club soccer’s biggest game between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal in Budapest.

When is the World Cup final? 

Timeline:

The World Cup final will take place July 19 at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey, the culmination of a month-long tournament hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
