D-Backs: Jake Lamb expected to miss the rest of 2018 season due to surgery

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Officials with the Arizona Diamondbacks announced Thursday that Jake Lamb is expected to miss the rest of the 2018 season.

In a tweet made to the team's verified Twitter page, officials said the third baseman is due to have surgery on his left shoulder.

According to his profile on the Arizona Diamondbacks website, Lamb was a 6th Round draft pick for the D-Backs in 2012, and made his debut in 2014.
