Phoenix Rising soccer team to hold team tryouts at the end of the month

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Officials with Phoenix Rising Football Club announced Tuesday that they are holding tryouts from August 30 to September 1.

According to a statement, the professional tryouts is by invitation only, and will give participants an opportunity to play in front of coaches and scouts from Phoenix Rising.

The tryout is scheduled to take place at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex, and costs $150. According to the statement, the cost covers two guaranteed evening tryout sessions, and a morning session for those asked to come back. In addition, a ticket to a future 2017 season United Soccer League match with the Phoenix Rising.

Officials said prospective participants will have to be selected before they can take part in the tryout, and no walk-ups will be accepted.
