Light rail safety exercise on bridge over the I-17

Valley Metro officials carried out a big safety exercise on Oct. 20. The exercise was conducted on the light rail bridge that has been built over the I-17, near the former Metrocenter Mall site. The exercise simulated how an emergency response would work if one of the trains were to have trouble over the freeway, and passengers needed to be helped out.
