Report: Drivers are paying hidden EV subsidies
Many people can't afford an electric vehicle, but a report claims that in a roundabout way, everyone is paying for an EV in some fashion. The report claims that collectively, Americans will pay almost $50,000 in mostly hidden subsidies and credits that most will never see, over the course of the next decade. Critics, however, call the study misleading, as it does not measure the benefits of grid upgrades, nor the drawbacks of pollution of human health and the environment.
