1 dead, 1 hurt in crash on Highway 95

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - A Southern California woman has died after head-on vehicle collision on a western Arizona highway.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say Iva Conrad, of Big River, California, was killed upon impact in the Friday night crash on Highway 95 outside of Lake Havasu City.

They say a man was taken to the hospital but his condition is unknown.

The Today's News-Herald reports the accident occurred on Highway 95 halfway between Lake Havasu City and Parker.

DPS says a Ford 350 truck was heading north and a Ford sedan was traveling south when they collided for an unknown reason.

Authorities say Conrad was driving the sedan.

They say the occupants of the truck were not injured.
